2025 Jeep Wrangler Engine
Jeep Wrangler engine options include three conventional gas-only engines and one innovative plug-in hybrid powertrain. One major drivetrain revision relates to the base 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine. The 3.6L V6 is no longer available with the available 8-speed automatic transmission and now comes exclusively paired with the standard 6-speed manual transmission. If you want the available automatic transmission, you will be automatically upgraded to the 2.0L turbocharged I4 engine.
3.6L Pentastar® V6 Engine
- Standard on all 2- and 4-door Jeep Wranglers except for the Sahara and Rubicon 392 trims
- Generates up to 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque
- Mated exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission
2.0L Turbo I4 Engine
- Standard on the 2025 Sahara trim
- Available for all other Jeep Wrangler trims except for the Rubicon 392
- Generates up to 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque
6.4L HEMI® V8
- Standard and exclusive to the Rubicon 392 trim
- Best-in-class maximum hp of 470
- Best-in-class maximum torque of 470 lb-ft of torque
2.0 I4 Turbo PHEV Engine
- Standard on all Jeep Wrangler 4xe trims
- Generates up to 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque
